has full bias coverage and all the important headlines, the free version works very well (no ads, just less features) but I got the $10 yrly subscription and love it. it also doesn't encourage "the scroll" like other apps; you get on, you read what's happening today and thats it, there's the bottom of the page. it makes me feel like I'm not wasting time while also staying informed. 11/10, 6 stars if I could

I thought I would enjoy a right, left, or center based news app, this one is hard to navigate, the ads and articles they push to you are mostly subscription based unless you pay for "their" subscription. The overridden ads on every article are annoying and having it asking me every time I enter to subscribe is quite unnerving. I'll be moving on to my browser where I can control the ads I see, or never see, and I can pick which sites I want. Trying to push notifications on my phone🤦 is another -

Hi Jeremiah, we're sorry to hear about your experience. I can confirm we only send push notifications to your device if you have them turned on. You can also use our external browser to improve your experience with any external sources' ads. I hope this helps!

The app functions, but the bias and factuality breakdowns are AI generated, hard to verify, and frequently not present at all. It aggregates articles, but it's kind of hard to tell how the algorithm decides which ones to include, because a quick web search will often turn up sites it didn't mention. It doesn't so much make it easier to find and be sure of facts as it provides access to and summarizes opinions and non-news that I was trying to avoid in the first place.

Hi Alison, we're sorry to hear about your experience. I can confirm the bias and factuality ratings are not generated by AI, they are from independent organizations. You can read more about this here: https://ground.news/rating-system If there are any missing stories on our service, please email us at feedback@ground.news so we can review this.
